Chief Risk Officer (AML/CFT)

Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Chief Risk Officer to lead our global risk function and establish comprehensive, enterprise-wide frameworks encompassing market, credit and operational risks.

As CRO, you will define, implement, and continuously enhance the company’s risk management strategy. You will oversee all aspects of risk exposure, support compliance initiatives, and develop sophisticated tools for monitoring, stress testing, and capital adequacy.

You’ll collaborate closely with executive leadership, regulators, and internal teams to promote a strong risk culture and ensure adherence to global regulatory standards.

Main Responsibilities

  • Design and maintain an enterprise-wide risk management framework covering market, credit, and operational risk
  • Oversee compliance with regulatory requirements and maintain effective relationships with regulators
  • Ensure risk policies are applied consistently across all business units and jurisdictions
  • Provide regular reports to senior management and the board on the firm’s risk profile, controls, and mitigation strategies
  • Deliver data-driven insights to inform strategic and capital-related decisions
  • Lead the development of stress testing models and capital adequacy assessments

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in risk management within regulated financial institutions
  • Proven success in building and implementing enterprise-wide risk frameworks
  • Deep understanding of capital adequacy, liquidity risk, and stress testing practices
  • Experience engaging with compliance teams and regulators across multiple jurisdictions
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Czech ( other EU languages a plus)
