FAQ

Common questions

Can you take recurring payments in crypto?

Yes. Recurring crypto payments let a business bill a customer on a repeating schedule and accept settlement in crypto or stablecoins. Xchange360 collects each cycle, converts at settlement, and pays the business in fiat, reconciled to the subscription, on regulated rails.

How are renewals handled?

Each cycle is collected against the plan and settled to fiat; reconciliation ties it back to the customer.

Is it compliant?

Payments run through regulated entities with KYC/AML. Availability depends on jurisdiction and eligibility.

How does recurring collection work if crypto has no direct debit?

Unlike a card, a crypto wallet cannot be auto-debited, so each cycle is collected against the plan through the compliant flow rather than pulled silently. The platform handles the per-cycle request and reconciliation so it behaves like a subscription for your finance team. The desk will set the collection method around how your plans bill.

What happens if a cycle payment fails or is late?

If a customer does not settle a cycle, the payment is flagged against that plan rather than silently written off, so you can follow your normal dunning or retry process. Reconciliation ties each attempt back to the customer and subscription. Talk to the desk about how failed or late cycles should be handled for your billing.

Can customers pay in stablecoins to avoid price swings each cycle?

Yes, customers can pay recurring charges in stablecoins as well as major crypto, and we convert at settlement either way, so every cycle pays the amount you billed. Stablecoins keep the amount the customer sends close to the invoice value cycle to cycle. Your revenue lands as reconciled fiat regardless of what the customer pays in.

Can we connect this to our existing billing or subscription system?

Recurring collection is designed to sit alongside the plans and billing you already run, with each payment reconciled back to its plan and customer automatically. Integration can be scoped to your billing stack via the desk. Talk to us about the subscription system you use today.

How are cancellations, upgrades and refunds handled?

Because collection runs against the plan each cycle, stopping or changing a plan changes what is collected on the next cycle. Refunds are processed as a separate payout rather than a card-style reversal, since crypto settlement is not reversible. The desk will configure cancellation and change handling around your plans.

How is this different from a card subscription like Stripe?

Card subscriptions cannot bill customers who want to pay in crypto or stablecoins, and they carry chargeback risk; this lets you take repeatable crypto revenue and settle it in reconciled fiat without holding crypto. It complements rather than replaces card billing where your customers prefer crypto. The desk can advise where it fits alongside your existing rails.
